Interactive Events
The interactive events will take place in two sessions, both in parallel to the AIED social hour, so that everyone can just drop by, watch any of the seven accepted demos, and engage in a discussion with the authors and the rest of the community.
The first session (Wednesday, 16/6/2021 21:00-22:00 Amsterdam time)
The presented demos will be the following:
- Ying Xu & Mark Warschauer: Using Conversational Agents to Support Science Learning From Animated Television Shows, Extended abstract
- April Murphy, Stephen E. Fancsali & Steven Ritter: UpGrade: Scalable Digital Experimentation in Authentic Learning Settings, Extended abstract

- Alberto Casas-Ortiz & Olga C. Santos: KSAS: An AI application for learning martial arts movements in on-line, Extended abstract
The second session (Friday 18/6/2021 13:30-14:30 Amsterdam time)
The presented demos will be the following:
- Josje Lodder, Bastiaan Heeren & Johan Jeuring: Proving the equivalence of two logical formulae with LogEx, Extended abstract

The structure of each of the sessions will be similar:
- In the first half of the session, we will be presented with the accepted AIED systems. Each presenter will have five minutes for a firehose presentation and an additional two minutes to show their demo using a pre-recorded video.
During the presentations, we will ask you (the audience) to post any questions and comments in the chatbox while indicating which of the presentations you refer to. - In the second half of the session, we will ask all the presenters to re-join for a discussion with the audience, in which we would raise your questions and encourage a fruitful discussion.
Hope to see you all there,
the Interactive events co-chairs – Carmel Kent, Bastiaan Heeren & Mutlu Cukurova.
